Here at Bless this Mess Homestead we offer Guided Educational Tours for families, schools and groups of all ages.

Guided Educational tours

We offer guided educational tours of the homestead from April-October. There are 3 different tours you can request. We will try to accommodate most groups sizes up to 25 particiapnts. Contact Bless this Mess to schedule via our website, email, Facebook messaging or by phone.

Traditional Tour - Free

time expected: 45 mins

hands on educational fun tour- $5 a person-
2  years old and under free

Time expected: 2.5 hours

  • learning "what is a homestead"

  • see our grounds

  • meet our livestock

  • learn about our livestock 

  • see our gardens

  • learn about what we grow and why

  • learn how to milk a dairy goat with hands on experience

  • Bottle Feed a baby goat (April-June)

  • Spring Fever babies ( April & May)

  • Make a take home plant (April-June)

  • Harvest some fruits or veggies (June-October)

  • Make homemade apple sauce ( September-October) 

 

 

You can add making homemade goat milk butter for $1 a person to either tour.

Field Trips for schools and groups

We do offer school and group field trips. Please make sure to have enough adult chaperones/teachers we recommend 1 to every 5 children.  We offer field trips during the week from 11:30AM- 3PM. If early morning or evening hours are needed it must be scheduled 1 month in advance, please contact us to schedule early or evening hours. We recommend 2 hours to be set aside for a hands on interactive educational experience. Feel free to contact us with any questions, we love to have visitors so we will try to accommodate just about any reasonable request. Groups with 12 people or more have a discounted rate of $2 a person for the Hands on Educational Fun Tour.

 

All tours must be scheduled as we do not have open to the public hours.
