Sundays in my opinion is the best day of the week. Family time, church and relax. We do our morning chores and right now we still have nursing kids so I get the day off of milking, SCORE. We all get around for church, luckily all three of my children look forward and love attending so there's no fussing about. But before everyone else gets up in the mornings I read my daily devotion. My verse for the day was exactly just what I needed to hear.
Now all glory to God, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20 NLT.
We have been so busy with the homestead, getting ready for pigs that will be here in a couple days, Red's first dance recital practices, Smarty Pant's baseball practices, kid's ministry and other church related events. We also have 3 field trips scheduled to visit Bless this Mess Homestead within the next 2 weeks, so with all this on top of regular life here I've been in that overwhelmed stage. I've been thinking how am I going to get everything done that need's done without losing the speck of sanity that I have left.
That's when my God gives me exactly what I need. The things you can do when God is working through you are beyond our imagination, so I have to remember not to put a limit on what I can do when Christ is with me! Tapping into His infinite power, connecting to His Spirit and letting Him take the reins in my life. The results will be bountiful.
After a beautiful service today and being blessed we good weather the kids and I played outside and explored. Examining all that God has created with a grateful heart instead of thinking about the millions of things that needs done. The Lord wants us to come into His presence regularly, not in an "I have to get this over with" mindset, but a " Lord, I am so blessed to get to spend time with You!" attitude. When we meet Him that way, His shining-greatness will be revealed, and He will fill you up with His glory.
So as I prepare for his chaotic week I will be praying "God, I stand at the ready. Work through me! Amen."
