Spring is coming no matter what Winter may be saying right now and I can't wait! Baby goats, playing in the dirt, prepping the gardening, baby goats, new chicks, spring planting, piglets, baby goats... Did I mention baby goats! We would love to invite you and yours out to Bless this Mess Homestead for our Open House on Earth Day! Sunday April 22nd from 1-5pm.
Come on out and bring the family for an afternoon of fun. See all our baby animals and adult animals, our gardens even though most won't have growth yet it's still smells great! See what all we have to offer our community and learn about our Homesteading Camps for kids coming this summer. There will be photo opportunities as well as concessions and a small farm "store".
With Spring comes more work, work and work! We are always working to improve our grounds and self-sufficiency. This year we are working on building a new garden, a Children's interactive Garden! This garden will be 130ftx25 foot space with several raised beds and a huge bean teepee. This space will be built for children to learn, plant, harvest and play. We love kids here at Bless this Mess and this will be a great addition for our Homesteading Camps. This garden has the need for community support . So during the Open House you have the opportunity to paint a 1X1 ft stepping block and place in the garden! The cost per block will be $12.
So put the date on your calendars and come on over and spend the afternoon on the Homestead! There will be plenty of fun to be had!
Cheers to a New Year!
